Bringing Nature Indoors
Another big trend is designing your space with the outdoors in mind. Nature provides a sense of calm and relaxation that we’re all seeking, so why not incorporate it into your home? Of course one easy way to do this is to decorate with plants and greenery, but to really capture that calm atmosphere, you can choose paint colors, textures, and other elements that are inspired by nature.
Shades of green have been popular this year for wall paint, as well as brown hues. These pair nicely with other neutrals and wood elements that are added to the room to achieve the natural look. Leather Furniture and Shades of Brown
Leather furniture and other brown elements have been trending recently. It’s no surprise, as this fits into the nature-inspired aesthetic flawlessly. If you have a lot of dark furniture, a lighter neutral backdrop might be more suitable for the walls where the furniture sits. However, don’t be afraid to incorporate a bold accent wall for a fun, artsy touch.
Patterns
We’re all seeking more joy in our lives, so gone are the days that we have four plain, neutral walls in every room of our home.
